Dress Code

The University Club's dress code policy applies to all members and their guests

Monday through Friday, the dress code in the Club is business casual, except in the in the Founders Pub and Pershing Grille where dress denim of a uniform color is acceptable. The Taft Dining Room still requires a jacket.

Jeans are also allowed in the Sports Lounge and on the Roof Deck. Further, during breakfast only, dress jeans may be worn in the Taft Dining Room, but not during any other times. It will be permissible to traverse the lobby, main staircase and elevators in Dress Denim in order to access the above specified areas. Except for this transit exception (and existing exceptions for checking in/out and weekends), Dress Denim is not allowed on the First Floor of the Clubhouse (other than during breakfast service in the Taft Dining Room).

*"Dress Denim" must be of a uniform color, clean (e.g., "dirty look" jeans are prohibited), with no rips, tears, fraying or holes.

Exceptions
Members and guests staying in the Club’s overnight accommodations are asked to pass through the lobby quickly if in shorts, warm-ups and/or athletic shoes. Non-business casual attire is acceptable only in the Athletic Center or in the Clubhouse on weekends before 6 pm.

Dress Denim jeans of a uniform color are permitted in the Pershing Grille and Founders Pub.

If you plan to visit the Club only to use the athletic facility and you are not dressed in accordance with the Dress Code, a convenient Casual Entrance is located at the rear of the Clubhouse.
