The University Club of Washington D.C.

Admission Requirements

Membership in The University Club is by invitation only, and we are eager to share our special blend of tradition, friendship, and excellent dining, meeting, fitness and overnight accommodations with others who will appreciate it.

The Board of Admissions shall review the proposals of, and may approve, any person eligible for Resident membership (including Junior Resident, 30 to 34 years of age; Intermediate, 25 to 29 years of age; and Junior, 21 to 24 years of age) who has received a degree from an accredited university, college, or military academy. Any person who has successfully completed not less than one year of work in an approved university or college, but is distinguished in literature, art, science, business, civic affairs, sports, or public service may be approved for Resident membership. Such approval shall require a three-fourths vote of the members of the Board of Admissions present at a duly constituted meeting.

In the case of foreign universities and other schools of similar grade, where either degrees or certificates of work done are granted in accordance with customs that differ from those in the United States, the Board of Admissions shall have discretion as to eligibility.
